Virtual Cooking Classes

We deliver you the groceries, if desired, and you cook along with us. A fun activity for your group while we’re in lockdown!

Book your own group of at least 10 people or join one of our scheduled classes below.  We are happy to work with you to customize a menu for your group.

Each 2 hour hands-on cooking class includes a recipe booklet, lots of information and lively conversation.

Classes cost $50+ HST per device for the Zoom class and $120 + HST per person if you’d like to include ingredients needed for the class and delivery to your home in the GTA. 

To register, email debbie@myplacefordinner.com with your phone number and a good time to call you for credit card information (Visa or Mastercard # and expiry date).

You will receive the recipes, a shopping list and the Zoom login information 1 week before the class.

Scheduled classes are non-refundable & not transferable to another date. If you’re unable to attend, you may send someone in your place.

Mother’s Day Brunch Class

Sunday May 9: 11am to 1pm 

What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than brunch and by cooking it together? In this tasty virtual class, your family will team up to prepare dishes that are more fun when made together. Dishes include Best Ever Scones, baked egg strata and rainbow fruit skewers with honey-yogurt sauce.

Flavours of Thailand

Sunday May 16: 4pm to 6pm

Bring the vibrant flavours of Thai cooking into your kitchen! Make Cold Rice Paper Rolls with Sweet Red Chili Sauce, Mango Salad, Pad Thai and Red Curry of Chicken with Vegetables. 

Moroccan Cuisine

Sunday May 30: 4pm to 6pm

Discover the sweet and spicy aromatic flavours characteristic of this region. We’ll make Chicken Tagine with Preserved Lemons, Couscous with Dried Fruits & Nuts, Carrot Salad & Almond Phyllo Snake with Orange Creme Anglaise.

Tuscan Cuisine

Sunday June 7: 4pm to 6pm  

This class features Arugula with Fried Capers, Olives and Fresh Parmesan, Chicken in Fresh Tomato Pan Sauce, Handmade Cavatelli with Sage Butter Sauce and Orange Polenta Cake with Whipped Cream and Berries.

Sushi

TBA 

Learn how to prepare and present authentic sushi with a simple and demystifying approach. Sip green tea while we make miso soup, Japanese salad, sushi rice, California rolls, inside out rolls and tuna & salmon nigiri.
